The fact is that once you have worked with dual screens you will really feel a benefit and never allow them to be taken away.
If any of the benefits described above are of interest to you then please contact us and we’ll be delighted to explain more.
At taylorcocks IT, one of the things we aim to do is to give good advice to our clients and suggest where IT can really make a difference to their business. If you and your staff spend a large proportion of your day working on a computer then we would recommend that you consider using two screens, if you do not already.
Have a look online under ‘dual monitor productivity’. There are many examples but below are four links for a sample. OK, the IT industry is bound to talk up the benefits and many of the articles talk about 20-30% productivity improvements so let’s cut that right back to 5% to be conservative. Say an employee costing £20,000 pa uses their computer for 75% of their working day, a 5% productivity improvement would yield a £750 pa benefit
But here’s the best thing, it may be that the computer you are using right now is already capable of supporting another monitor; almost all laptops fall in to that category and you just need to hook up a monitor and make the right display settings and off you go, dual screen computing is done.
To upgrade most desktop computers is a simple process. Even if you have to completely replace the machine it’s quite compelling, especially if the machine would be due for replacement in the near term anyway.
